Katy looks to me says i wanna leave Hop in the side car see the roads that take you home drive for hours looking for familiar sights drive for hours til the sidewalks meet the tide She says Ooh I’m looking for anything To make me feel like I am real She says ooh Don’t hold on to the things I say it will all wash away Old chalkboards I can still see what you wrote Come inside - tell me about your home life dads a pilot always watching from above hasnt said much but him and mom are still in love drink flat soda and watch stale tv shows go to bed and thank the lord for what I own In the morning mom is sleeping on the couch A bag of peanuts at her feet for when she wakes up She says o Im looking for anything to make me feel like I’m real She says oh Dont hold on to the things I say Someday I will wash away Old ethel sittin out in the yard never seen the road but recognizes all the cars swore someday she would drive a cadillac Leave roseville with no thoughts of comin back knows every face at every single local bar Curses them all but holds them close to her heart still someday she hopes that she will disappear Down the road ,drowned and cold, frankly anywhere but here

Cold summer Falls into winter I seen your shadow in the halls Putting shoes on To walk around the block Your shadow follows Fifty feet tall I knew that you’d be there Everywhere I go But now I want you to go on your own accord be free, get loose go now be free go now “the sun sets its tired head on the horizon, waits, and then rolls over into nighttime again

Ticks on the dogs scruff again Bountiful bloodbound old men Keepin my eye out for the secret handshake is a dangerous game to play Hands of iron breath of smoke He chokes Dies in the night all alone like the rest of us

inside out 02:01
Everybody flys their flags for someone to see Everybody tries to hide that someone thats underneath and when it’s revealed it’s ugly And it snarls and flashes it’s teeth Starved to the bone oh so hungry No food in its bowl to eat So tell me tell me all about the things that you have seen You can whisper you can scream it if you want your secrets safe with me It’s like I’m looking at a bunch of blow up dolls Their phones are ringing but there’s no one that ever calls Baby baby What’s inside is out Everybody flys their flags for someone else to see Everybody’s flyin flags but they look like kites to me

sailor 03:59
choppy waves I think I might be in over my head the sky is darkening and somethings reaching up for my leg it pulls me under and holds me tight I close my eyes give up the fight goodnight tell my mother I love her on the shoreline she's drinking up the salt water just like it was wine how could I know to read the signs? the flags are grey to me, I couldn't get a reading of the tide

about

songs that have been sitting on my computer for far too long that I figured i'd put out for the momentous occasion that is bandcamp friday
they're pretty good songs that i finished in one night and exported and sent to friends and never thought of again. I took the mp3's from texts I had sent because my logic files were being weird and the idea and desire to mix or master them left me a long time ago. enjoy!
